Electro Voice Evolve Series

In 2013 TEAMS Design and Electro Voice partnered to completely overhaul the legacy brand's image through a visual brand language (VBL). This VBL touched every new product that came out of Electro Voice and skyrocketed the brand from #15 to #1 (by a long shot) in the professional audio market. That relationship still continues today.

Situation

The professional audio market was starting to expand into new product architectures, including the column speaker. This new archetype was very popular among traveling musicians, DJ's, and small bands. It was bleeding into consumer territory. We helped Electro Voice enter that market with the Evolve Series.

Process

Working closely with Electro Voice's legendary audio engineers and product marketing leads, we workshopped potential product architectures and defined our technical constraints. From the ground up, we iterated and designed the Evolve Series to be highly portable, easy to assemble, and uphold the brand at reasonable price point.

Product

The Evolve Series has become one of Electro Voice's most popular and visible product lines. Starting with the Evolve 50, it has expanded to 5 different SKUs based on market demand. This is the product of mine I see most out in the wild.
