As many of LEGO's brick patents expired, Hasbro launched their own building block brand, Kre-O. This had a leg up on the competition as it used the exact same specifications of LEGO bricks, making them near-perfectly compatible.
Hasbro has an immense library of intellectual property and characters. With the rise of mobile games like Farmville and Cityville, Hasbro combined this IP with their Kre-O brand to produce a highly topical series of toys.

During my summer at Hasbro I supported on many Kre-O projects and was given the opportunity to lead a few designs of my own, eventually going into production.
